Every evaluation is performed by Jonathan Farrar, CRMI, Building Biologist, or a technician he has personally trained, and Jonathan reviews all findings.We test for a wide range of potential issues, including:

Municipal Water
City water is treated, but it can still pick up metals from pipes and fixtures and may contain disinfectants and their byproducts. Testing shows what reaches your tap, not just what leaves the treatment plant.

Private Wells
Private wells are not regulated like municipal systems, so testing is up to the homeowner. Well testing typically focuses on bacteria, minerals, metals, and nitrates, along with other contaminants common in your area.

Depending on your water source and goals, testing may include:

1. Metals such as lead, copper, arsenic, iron, and manganese

2. Disinfectants and byproducts such as chlorine, chloramine, and trihalomethanes

3. PFAS ("forever chemicals")

4. Fluoride and nitrates

5. Bacteria such as total coliform and E. coli

6. General water chemistry including pH, hardness, and total dissolved solids

Within 10 to 14 business days, you'll receive a written report with:

1. Laboratory results, explained in plain language

2. How your results compare with regulatory limits and health based guidelines

3. Likely sources of any elevated contaminants

4. Filtration and treatment recommendations for your home

5. Guidance on point of use options (such as kitchen or shower) and whole home systems
