Terms and Conditions

By booking, scheduling, or paying for services with JF Healthy Homes, the client agrees to the following terms and conditions.

Scope of Services
JF Healthy Homes provides educational and consultative environmental assessment services related to the condition of the home environment. Services may include mold and moisture evaluations, indoor air quality observations, EMF assessments, water quality testing coordination, post-remediation verification, and general healthy home consulting.

JF Healthy Homes does not provide medical advice, medical diagnosis, medical treatment, legal advice, engineering services, architectural services, or construction services. Any recommendations provided are based on observations, available testing, industry knowledge, and the conditions present at the time of the assessment.

No Guarantee of Results
JF Healthy Homes does not guarantee that a home is safe, healthy, mold-free, toxin-free, allergen-free, or free from environmental concerns. Findings are limited to the areas accessible and conditions observed at the time of service. Hidden, concealed, intermittent, or future conditions may not be identified during the assessment.

Client understands that environmental conditions can change over time due to moisture, ventilation, occupant behavior, mechanical systems, weather, construction defects, remediation work, or other factors outside the control of JF Healthy Homes.

Testing and Third-Party Laboratories
When laboratory testing is performed, samples may be submitted to independent third-party laboratories. JF Healthy Homes is not responsible for laboratory delays, laboratory errors, lost samples, changes in lab pricing, or the interpretation methods used by the laboratory. Turnaround times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Client Responsibility
Client is responsible for making final decisions regarding repairs, remediation, medical care, construction, relocation, cleaning, or other actions taken after the assessment. JF Healthy Homes may provide recommendations, but the client is responsible for hiring appropriately licensed professionals where required, including but not limited to physicians, attorneys, engineers, contractors, plumbers, electricians, HVAC professionals, remediation companies, or industrial hygienists.

Post-Remediation Verification
Post-remediation verification services are intended to provide observations and/or testing related to the condition of the work area at the time of verification. Passing a post-remediation verification does not guarantee that the home is free from mold, moisture issues, contamination, or future microbial growth.

Payment Terms
A 50% deposit is required to secure an appointment. The remaining balance is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Reports, lab results, written summaries, or recommendations may be withheld until payment has been received in full.

Additional testing, extended time, travel, return visits, shipping, rush processing, and third-party lab fees may be billed separately.

Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellations or rescheduling may be subject to fees, especially when travel, lodging, lab materials, scheduling blocks, or other costs have already been arranged. Deposits may be non-refundable if the appointment is cancelled within a short-notice period or after JF Healthy Homes has incurred costs related to the service.

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the liability of JF Healthy Homes, its owners, employees, contractors, and representatives for any claim related to services provided shall be limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

JF Healthy Homes shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or economic damages, including but not limited to loss of use, lost income, lost business opportunity, emotional distress, relocation costs, medical expenses, repair costs, remediation costs, property damage, or claims arising from decisions made by the client or third parties.

No Warranty
Services are provided without any express or implied warranty. JF Healthy Homes does not warrant or guarantee any specific outcome, result, clearance, health improvement, property condition, remediation result, or future environmental condition.

Access and Safety
Client is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property and areas to be assessed. JF Healthy Homes may decline to access areas deemed unsafe, inaccessible, restricted, or outside the agreed scope of work.

Photos, Documentation, and Communication
Client authorizes JF Healthy Homes to take photos, videos, readings, notes, and samples as needed for documentation and reporting purposes. Client information will not be shared publicly without permission, except as needed for lab submission, reporting, payment processing, legal compliance, or service-related communication.

Agreement to Terms
By booking a service, submitting payment, signing a proposal, approving an estimate, or allowing JF Healthy Homes to begin work, client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
